Make a choice
Accept optional enables reading-position memory on this device. Reject optional leaves that feature off. Settings lets you choose it individually. Closing settings without saving does not accept optional storage. Invalid or expired preferences default to off.
A Cookie settings link is available in the footer and a compact control remains available while reading. Without JavaScript, these links open this policy and optional reading-position storage is not used. You can remove previously saved data in your browser’s site-data settings.

- Records preference version, reading choice and timestamp after a deliberate saved choice. Maximum 180 days, scoped to this website path. A later choice replaces it; browser site-data controls can remove it.
- wrr_reading_v1 · localStorage
- Optional article paths, reading positions and timestamps. Initialized only after reading-position consent, including an empty record on non-article pages. Entries at least 180 days old are ignored when read. Expired entries are removed on the next saved reading-position write, where browser access permits; each such write saves at most 30 records. Reading alone does not rewrite localStorage. Rejecting or disabling the option attempts to remove the record. Unused localStorage may remain until a later saved reading-position write, rejection or removal through browser controls.

- Current-page memory only. The record-question planner does not persist these choices; Reset clears them.
Other website technologies
The record-question planner and reading controls do not include analytics, advertising tags or third-party media players. Other WordPress plugins, embedded content and hosting services can operate separately. Reading-preference controls govern only the reading feature; they do not control those services or establish a complete inventory of the website.
WordPress sign-in and administration may use separate authentication cookies for signed-in users. These reading controls do not remove authentication cookies, email, server logs or records at linked websites. This list describes reading-feature storage and any additional details the publisher has supplied.
Scope of these controls
The controls apply to this publication’s reading feature. They are not a universal blocker for technologies that a website operator may add, hosting logs or services at external destinations. The Privacy Policy explains website requests and correspondence.
Change or withdraw your choice
Rejecting optional storage stops future reading-position storage and attempts to remove its saved record. A saved preference replaces the previous choice and lasts up to 180 days. Your browser or device may remove it earlier. If browser storage is blocked, the feature reports the limitation and keeps optional behavior off.
